@ytgv3fc7 It's clear as a bell. What is this, "if you pass it on it's not a double tax anymore" stuff? That's exactly my point about it! When a tax takes place, a company has to account for that on it's ledger. If it's a heavy burden, it has to be passed onto the consumer in raising the price so the company can meet it's financial outlook on sales and profit. It's BASICS OF BUSINESS. There's no voodoo here. Just do the math I gave you earlier but make it 50 percent tax and you'll understand.

@sonnybrown how are we confused here? When you pass it on it's not double-taxed anymore & there are write-offs too. Look, removing all these taxes makes sense to me in the long-term, for the singular reason the taxes collected are being abused & exploited anyhow. In any case, applies to Canada, in TFSA accounts dividends are not taxed. No gains are taxed.

@Buenzas the market will fix itself

good luck with that... since Ronald Reagan deregulation had led to this kind of practices...

You think Corporations care about you ?... do you think they wanna pay their fair share ?

Hell no... whats in it for them... is to pay minimum wage to chinese slave workers

and then benefit from the system in the U.S while avoiding to pay taxes.

How is that market will fix it self going for ya ?..

@ytgv3fc7 That's exactly the meaning of double tax, dude. It's like if you bought a shirt for 45 bucks and payed sales tax, but the retailer bought the shirt for 20 plus tax. The wholesaler charging sales tax to the retailer really gets passed onto you in the form of a 45 dollar product to cover tax payed between the wholesaler and retailer instead of 40 (standard mark up is double wholesale). That's why wholesalers aren't charged tax when selling to retailers.

@sonnybrown it's still not a double-tax. Each event is separate, not layered.

Businesses go where its cheap to operate. Raise taxes all you want, but don't complain when everyone with cash leaves.....And bitch all you want about them not paying taxes, but they just follow the tax code that our legislators wrote for them. Green tech for no taxes. Jobs come when free economies prevail Screw the Crony capitalism we currently have. Low taxes and low Government regulation (the market will self regulate).
